A Review Of The Samsung Galaxy S4

The Samsung Galaxy S4 has been one of the most widely anticipated smartphones to hit the 2013 marketplace. Many believe that this new model is the most advanced phone yet manufactured by Samsung and the S4 offers the user with a wide array of technological innovations and amenities. Let us have a brief look at some of the most novel features this phone has to offer.

Physical Characteristics

One of the most notable features of the S4 is that the phone itself is the same size as previous models although the screen has been increased to five inches and now boasts full HD resolution. Additionally, the phone is less than eight millimetres thick, thus providing a comfortable feel without the “bulk” of similar models.

The framework of the phone is robust and the only observation that some users may make is that this phone appears physically similar to Samsung’s previous model, the S3.

Processing Speed and Technology

The internal processor is a 1.5 GHz Exnyos processor and the phone has an additional 1.5 megabytes of RAM and 8 gigabytes of internal storage. Thus, a great deal of data can be sent and stored with the S4. As with the S3, there is also a microSD slot for expanding the memory with an external card.

This phone naturally comes fully equipped with WiFi capabilities along with a Bluetooth 4.0. The system itself is marketed as operating with the Android 4.2.2 package and is said to be incredibly

fast. A 1.9 megapixel front-facing camera also comes standard and will offer a picture quality that will rival some of the top smartphones currently on the market.

Notwithstanding these previously mentioned attributes, the S4 comes with some extremely unique software packages. There is an eye tracking mechanism known a “Smart Pause” that will delay a video if a user’s eyes stray from the

screen and restart playback when the eyes return.

A “Smart Scroll” feature allows pages to be scrolled up and down with a simple tilt of the phone. The S4 can also translate English into numerous languages and it contains a number of health-related features such as a pedometre and even temperature and humidity sensors.

The Samsung Galaxy S4 is indeed a formidable entry into the new era of smartphones and it is thought that this model may rival the popularity of the current iPhone models. As the demand for these devices steadily increases, it can only be expected that even more innovative functions will emerge in the near future.
